Numeric Nutrient Criteria
MAF is opposed to the U.S.EPA setting numeric nutrient criteria for the State of Florida. We believe that Florida Total Maximum Daily Load Program provides defensible scientific data to make nutrient criteria decisions and EPA should defer to the Florida program.
Defeat Amendment #4 in 2010
We encourage the defeat of Amendment #4, aka Hometown Democracy, in the November 2010 elections. If the amendment passes, we believe that economic development will be severely stunted in Florida.

Manufacturers Making A Difference
The 2010 Campaign Season is already underway and Manufacturers Making a Difference (MMAD) is soliciting contributions from its members and all Florida manufacturers. For $25, $500 or $1,000 you can be a member of MMAD. Contributors at the highest levels are eligible to be Board members. All members are invited to participate in discussions on which candidates to support. Checks should be made out to MMAD and mailed to MAF, 1625 Summit Lake Drive, Suite 300, Tallahassee, FL 32317.
This is the current industry certification list used by agencies to plan high school curriculum to prepare students for industry careers.
